Jennifer Bernard left us with a major tease at the end of the previous book. Finally we get Gracie’s story, and no real spoiler but now I’m just desperate for the last book in the series. Not a cliffhanger, just very curious where this all is going. Read on for my full review, and scroll to the end for a giveaway!
Discovering Gracie Rockwell was not a biological Rockwell came as a big surprise. Though that is only the start.
She wastes no time trying to discover who the boy in her memories is. Mark has grown up nicely. There are some clear traumatic issues he’s not dealing with properly, but he quite likes his life. Though the moment Gracie enters it again, he just knows there is going to be trouble.
Digging further into where Grace came from, and who her family is, the more mysterious it gets. I honestly have no clue where Jennifer Bernard is leading us to, and I like not knowing.
What Gracie and Mark went through created a bond between them. No matter how badly Mark doesn’t want to revisit his past, he can’t let Gracie go at it alone. Which results in spending a lot of time together, traveling all over, and Gracie trying to help Mark confront his demons.
Gracie is my favourite Rockwell sister. She has an air of lightness around her, a charm that sucks you in. Her openness is quite a contrast to Mark’s personality. Talk about a guy being stuck in a rut. His life was pleasant enough, but let’s be honest that is not what we are aiming for.
The romance was a slower build up, though the attraction is definitely there. Some life threatening situations definitely helps things along. A fast paced, intriguing, funny, and entertaining story, that has me hankering for the next book.

(The Rockwell Legacy #4)
He knew she’d be nothing but trouble…
The moment she drifted into his marina, Mark Castellani knew Gracie was different. Resisting the blond pixie’s breezy approach to life is difficult, but Mark’s had years of practice living for simple pleasures that don’t extend beyond the next sunrise. Why long for anything lasting when he knows how quickly his whole world can be flipped upside down?
A bombshell long-lost memory finally explains why Gracie Rockwell never quite fit in with her boisterous family—she isn’t a Rockwell, after all. Desperate for answers, she leaves her beloved Rocky Peak Lodge in search of the little boy who saved her so long ago. Did he grow up to be the gorgeous-but-guarded Mark Castellani? What does he know about her true origins? If only she could pry some answers from her enigmatic new boss—and get rid of her massive crush.
But while she’s eager to uncover the past, he’d rather bury it forever. Mark was right—Gracie is the kind of trouble he never wanted. But she’s exactly the trouble he needs.
