I’ve so thoroughly enjoyed reading the Dating by Numbers series by Meghan Quinn. Such fun, fast, sexy and witty stories. One Baby Daddy is already the third, and last book in the series. By writing this review I also realised these have been the first books, written by her, that I’ve I read. Definitely a shame!

Have you read any of the books from the Dating by Numbers series yet? Let me know in the comments!

For those who have read the first two books in the series, One Baby Daddy actually mostly takes place before those. For those who haven’t read any of the books yet, it doesn’t matter. It’s more of a ‘fun’ fact, as each book can easily be read as a standalone.

Now for One Baby Daddy there’s a couple of things you need to like to be able to love this story:

  • Slow burn romance
  • Incredible hot, though even sweeter, professional ice hockey players
  • Witty, stubborn nurses
  • Surprise babies

It is impossible not to like Hayden. While obviously hot, the guy quickly sweeps you, and Adalyn, of your feet. Maybe a typical professional athlete’s trait, but when Hayden knows what he wants, there is no stopping him. Instant attraction between him and Adalyn, but it’s immediately taken to the next level.

The chemistry between these two characters was off the charts. Every flirty interaction had me grinning from ear to ear. Hayden’s insistence on taking things slow, made sure I could relate to Adalyn’s sexual frustration. Though the wait was worth it!

There was a good balance between sexy and sweet scenes. Hayden and Adalyn’s relationship wasn’t purely physical, and it was their witty banter that I liked the most.

I wasn’t fully on board with how easily Adalyn threw in the towel though, when things got rough, but otherwise there wouldn’t be any drama, so I guess it was necessary. Luckily that athlete’s tenacity always comes back.

Fans of Meghan Quinn will absolutely love One Baby Daddy, adore Hayden, and want to have a sass-off with Adalyn. I’m a sucker for surprise baby books, add a professional ice hockey player, and you know I’m sold. A sexy, slow burn romance that might drive you mad for release, you’ll enjoy every second of it!

One Baby Daddy

(Dating by Numbers #3)

“What are you doing now that your team is out of the running for the Stanley Cup?”

I need to forget. I need an escape.

Only one person isn’t falling for my reputation as the NHL’s Golden Boy; she captured my attention the minute she called me out for snooping through my best friend’s house. She didn’t want to hear my reason–she only wanted to playfully give me a hard time.

Adalyn is bold, sassy–and the perfect escape.

She’s everywhere. In town and in my dreams, and suddenly I need to spend every waking moment with her.

And I do, making this summer the best off-season I’ve ever had.

But in the midst of getting lost in Adalyn, what I don’t expect is to get her pregnant.

And what I definitely don’t expect is having to fight for her affection.

About the author

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
