Letters to Molly by Devney Perry is finally here!!! I always love it when secondary characters are so intriguing you just want them to have their own story. Devney fully admitted that this was originally not going to be the case for Molly and Finn, but the fans begged, and she delivered!
Letters to Molly could not have been easy to write! Most second chance novels I’ve read don’t include divorce, but here we are. It’s been six years since Molly and Finn’s marriage exploded. I always find it hard to read when you have two people who clearly love each other, and it isn’t enough.
Both Molly and Finn have made mistakes, huge mistakes, and mostly they failed themselves and each other. Two people who somewhere along the way forgot that marriage is a verb. While they claim they are fine, and moving on, they’re definitely not living, more just going through the motions.
I put of reading this ARC for a while because of the setup, and I do feel you need to be in the right set of mind to start reading this one. Though it turned out I shouldn’t have been afraid. I was expecting resentment, and bitterness, and I was wrong. Letters to Molly is a story of healing, and you can’t heal without visiting the past. Those letters Molly receives forces her and Finn to look back at their relationship, talk and clear out why things went wrong, before they can move on.
A divorced couple coming back together is a delicate situation, and Devney Perry handled it beautifully. There is a lot of history to unpack, and a lot of hurt to get through, but their journey is magnificent. A deliciously angsty, and hopeful novel Devney Perry comes through for Molly and Finn.

Letters to Molly
(Maysen Jar #2)
Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.
Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.
The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.
Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.
