No kissing. No touching. And definitely no falling in love…
Armed with her besties, an embarrassing number of shots, and her list of 10 Wild Things To Do Before Adulthood, recent grad Cameron Lawson is partying it up before she starts her dream job at New York’s biggest ad agency. Her last task? Hook up with a random guy. And while it’s so not her style, the super-sexy guy sitting next to her is definitely game. No names. No details.
At least, that was the plan.
On her first day of work, Cameron discovers her hook-up is none other than Aidan Truitt—her new boss’s boss. Talk about failing the “no fraternizing with coworkers” policy on an epic level. Especially when Aidan makes it clear their one night was only the beginning. Falling for him could cost her everything, but sometimes the only way to get what you want is by breaking a few rules…

I feel that the title is a bit misleading. When Cameron and Aidan explore the chemistry between them, kissing and touching is allowed, only the falling in love is not allowed. Though I do know they shouldn’t even be kissing because of that “no fraternizing with coworkers” policy, but who are we kidding here.
After high school Cameron went to NYU, following her dream of being anywhere but in Alabama. Her drive and passion were very admirable and easy to relate to. So this job is very important for and she’s really good at it as well. That is now all in jeopardy with the constant temptation of Aidan Truitt. She knows she should stay away from his, she’s putting her brand new job at risks and she knows he can not give her what she really wants, which is everything.
Aidan is way into Cameron and want to explore what’s between them despite the risks. Even though he’s very clear on not involving any feelings. The guy is so afraid he would turn into the same cold and uncaring man like his father, he’s not even going to go there. Though he can not seem to shake the addiction that is Cameron.
There were a lot of contradictions. Pretty much from the start they break the rules they set up in the beginning. Even Aidan while being honest, his words and actions are not speaking the same language. Therefor to me it was no wonder Cameron kept wanting more and more from him. She’s not the type of girl who’s into casual situation, she’s always preferred commitment.
A tug war for Aidan between giving in to what he’s feeling, or keep being stubborn. It really is just that, ’cause when it comes to it, he doesn’t care about the consequences at work. Now I don’t like all the secrecy, but I get that you might want to try things out before risking your career.
Cameron is forever hopeful. She accepts the rules, but pushes the boundaries every chance she gets. I understand why she does that, ’cause the signals Aidan gives at times make it seem he does want more. Her tenacity with him was endearing, I liked that she never gave up on him.
No Kissing Allowed was a fun and fast read. There were no big surprises, but I liked the dynamic between the two main characters. The ending felt very realistic to me and that was definitely a plus.
